I remember my first time walking down that path. It was a hot day, and I was sweating, but the moment I caught a glimpse of the beach through the trees, I knew it was worth it. The sand is incredibly white, the water is a stunning turquoise, and there are these giant, smooth boulders scattered along the shore. Otherwise, it’s best to hire a local taxi or one of the pickup trucks that wait at the top. But the reward? Oh, it’s worth it.

When I finally made it down that insane road, I felt like I had discovered a lost world. The beach is a tiny, secluded cove with incredibly clear water and a lush green jungle backdrop. There are a few rustic huts serving cold drinks and food, and that’s it. It’s a spot for true adventurers, and you’ll feel like you earned that dip in the ocean after the journey. It’s one of the quietest beaches in Phuket.

Banana Beach: The Untouched Paradise

Banana Beach is tucked away on the northwest side of the island, and it’s surprisingly hard to find. You have to park on the side of a small road and then walk down a jungle path for about five minutes. It’s easy to miss the entrance, which is why it stays so pristine.

The moment you step onto the beach, you’ll see why it’s a local secret. It’s small, with soft sand and calm, clear water that’s perfect for swimming. There are some old trees providing shade and a few small, family-run shacks that serve delicious fresh seafood. It’s the kind of place you go to escape from everything and just listen to the waves. It really is a great alternative to the main beaches in Phuket.
